Group vs Organization

What is a RainedOut "Organization"? How is that different from a "Group"?

In RainedOut, "organizations" and "groups" are very different things.

An Organization is the main body of your community. It could be your league, your company, your school, town, city, etc. When you sign up as an administrator, you're creating an organization in the RainedOut system.

A Group is a sub-set of an organization. This could be a team, a neighborhood, a division, a class, a campus, etc.

Organizations can contain one or more Groups.

For example, you may have a soccer league called "Sample City Youth Football". That league would sign up for RainedOut so that players, coaches, and officials can receive notices from the league. You might optionally create groups. These groups could be named for each team in the league ("Bengals", "Giants", "Raiders", "Jets", etc.)
